Firefighter Pavel: The second wave is different. On Tuesday, he was ordered to travel to Žilina and the surrounding area for a few days at the end of the week. They are there to assist with testing and sampling in the most affected regions. They don't have more information yet. People's behaviour has also changed. They disappeared from the streets and locked themselves in homes. The number of traffic accidents has decreased and there are fewer other exits common before the pandemic. The fires also decreased. People are more careful. However, firefighters have less work to do. They take samples at the request of the Ministry of the Interior, for example, in the detention of refugees who could have covid-19, test police patrols in contact with infected or firefighters after meeting positively tested during a traffic accident. Their working lives have changed radically. What help would they want from the state? "More information. And as a medic, I'm annoyed by something else. At the Ružinov Hospital, they admit patients to planned operations without a covid examination, i.e. they admit a person who may endanger the medical staff. It doesn't bother the hospital. And then we hear how sick people die and die”, he adds at the farewell.
