The first cases of cholera were from 28 October to 1 November. So, the first bacillus carriers may not get here until late November. Now it is completely out of the question. Since cholera is caused by a microbe that is very sensitive to temperature, if it snows as the forecast says it will, it is out of the question for it to get here in any way. But I'm on alert anyway, cholera has a special smell that once you smell it, you won't forget it till the day you die."
