Dorota Holubová (1989) is a professional freelance portrait and documentary photographer from Slovakia, currently based in Bratislava and working at her photostudio Holubník. She is official member of the international network for female professional photographers Women Photograph. Dorota studied creative photography and finished the bachelor program at the The Institute of Creative Photography, Silesian University in Opava, Czech republic. She also finished master’s degree at the Faculty of Arts, Comenius University in Bratislava. Since 2020 she is editor in chief of Fotonoviny / Photonews. Her works was published in GUP magazine, MONO, VICE magazine, The Globe and Mail, Der Spiegel and Denník N. In 2016 she did a photo internship in Soul, South Korea, in 2018 she was at art residency Cité internationale des arts in Paris. Nowadays she is working on long-term documentary project focused on women’s rights and LGBT community.
